A Wise Man From Lewis?? Surely Not!
What a wonderful time together this morning at Grace. We had fantastic food and fellowship and enjoyed learning about and singing to the Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our teaching was quite different today as it came from 3 pretty unusual visitors: Joseph with an Elgolian accent, Simeon who sounded remarkably like a Plockton High School teacher and believe it or not, a wise man from Lewis!
It’s hard to believe that it’s coming to the end of another year – and the end of our first year as ‘Grace Community Church’. A lot has happened this year. It’s amazing how many changes and adjustments God has brought our way. Hard to believe looking back that our minister, John Murdo, has had a heart attack, triple bypass surgery and has now returned to full-time ministry. We rejoice in those who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour over this year and we are grateful for the growth and blessing God has brought to His people through the teaching and worship and fellowship.
We continue to pray for those who have had a difficult year – Along with the joys there have, of course, been heartaches and trials of all kinds. Let’s keep looking to God for strength, blessing, encouragement and all that He has for us over this next year together.
If you’re able to come along to any of our Christmas celebrations then you would be most welcome – see the previous post or our Online Calendar for all the details!
“Joy has dawned upon the world,
Promised from creation—
God’s salvation now unfurled,
Hope for ev’ry nation…
What a Saviour! What a Friend!
What a glorious myst’ry!
Once a babe in Bethlehem,
Now the Lord of hist’ry!”
